The ACRF sends a big thank you to everyone who took part in Blue September this year, by getting blue, by raising funds, by purchasing Blue September products and by helping to raise awareness about men’s cancers. We had a very successful campaign this year which wouldn’t have been possible without our wonderful supporters, here is a snapshot of some of their events…
Scarff Recruitment Solutions got out into the town at Bunnings Harbourside and put on a fabulous BBQ! Loads of people turned out to support the blue faced team & make a contribution to cancer research – raising over $1,800!!
Southside Malibu Club chose Blue September as their charity of choice for the 2011 Willett Johnston Spring Classic. The club supports a charity each year & helped Cronulla get blue this year, donating $1,500 to the cause as well.
RBS Morgans held a Blue September Trivia Night for their staff, bringing in $1,000.
Dianne Darcy gathered together with 20 ladies for a special blue high tea! The ladies dressed in blue & even enjoyed some blue foods for an afternoon, raising $430.
Gosford City Council went all out in blue for the day! Celebrating with blue food, and a range of silent auctions to paint the faces of their directors blue – big thanks to the team for getting into the Blue September spirit and keeping that paint on all day!
Warringah Golf Club held a number of ‘Blue’ competition days where players donated a gold coin & wore something blue when they played to celebrate the club’s 75th anniversary. They chose to support Blue September in honour of those in the club who had been affected by cancer.
Darren & Colleen at McLaren Vale Barber Shop celebrated each Friday of September with tshirts & blue face paint. The customers loved it!
