Local marathons and community fun runs are not only a great way to get fit, but they provide supporters with a challenge through which they can raise funds for breakthrough cancer research.

Whether you’re competing as part of a team or individually, it’s as simple as registering for the fun run or marathon and asking your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you. With our team on hand to lend advice for both your training and fundraising, you will be sure to triumph because we’re in this together, to reach a world without cancer.

Gold Charity Places

ACRF can offer exclusive Gold Charity places for select marathons. Gold Charity runners start ahead of the pack, having committed to a specific fundraising pledge – usually $1,000 for local runs and up to $10,000 for international runs. Visit the events below for information on whether a Gold Charity place is available or email run@acrf.com.au for information.

ACRF Run Regardless

While many running events that you would generally join in support of cancer research have been cancelled due to COVID-19, cancer researchers continue to look for new and improved ways to help each individual diagnosed with this complex and disruptive disease.

So, we are asking that as cancer researchers continue working to improve the lives of Australians impacted by cancer, that you continue to run in support.

If your favourite event has been cancelled, we would love for you to RUN REGARDLESS any time from 1 July to 31 October, 2021.

Get extra peer support, ask questions, help your team mates with advice and share your story about why you’re running for #TeamACRF.

GET ORGANISED

To help you stay on top of things as you start training, we have developed a few useful resources.

Set up a budget, print off a checklist and even order an ACRF singlet to arrive prior to race day. This way when the big event rolls around you can focus on what really matters – the finish line!
