Solicitors and executors

Bequests play a vital role in securing the future of cancer research

Thank you for assisting with a gift in a Will to Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF).

We deeply respect the wishes of the bequestor and the terms of the Will. If you have any questions about our research scope, and whether it aligns with the terms of the Will, please reach out to us.

ACRF’s charitable status

Deductible gift receipt status

Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ABN 27 076 461 360) holds Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status Item 1 and is fully tax-exempt.

Capital gains tax on estate assets and transfer of shares 'in specie'

As a fully tax-exempt organisation, Australian Cancer Research Foundation can accept the transfer of all Capital Gains Tax assets such as real estate or shares which will significantly reduce the tax liability, rather than pre-selling those assets by executors and transferring the sale proceeds.

Superannuation

Superannuation is not automatically included in a person’s Will. To leave your superannuation to Australian Cancer Research Foundation, the super balance will need to be left to your estate, it will then be distributed according to the Will.

Administering the estate

Bequest funds can be paid by cheque (payable to Australian Cancer Research Foundation) or can be transferred by direct deposit. Please contact us for our banking details.
