Cancer research supporters Carlo & Steph, recently took on the challenge of the WA State Marathon. Now in its 33rd year, the marathon spans 42.6 km through a picturesque course following the beautiful Swan river.
The super duo chose to donate to cancer research “as it’s not in the media as much as some of the other support based charities” and were “very astonished” at how much support their family and friends had given them.
Carlo & Steph took on the race with a great sense of humour, determination and the wonderful support and generosity of their family and friends. They were also hugely motivated by the fact that both their respective mothers have had cancer.
Despite some injuries incurred before the race, both Carlo & Steph completed the race, not quite in the time they had hoped, but they did it!
Congratulations to both Carlo & Steph on completing this extremely challenging marathon! Huge thanks to you both and all your generous supporters raising $1,230 for cancer research! Well done!
