Achieve something you never thought possible, and help cancer scientists to fight cancer, by funding cancer research through an international charity challenge!
In 2015 The Australian Cancer Research Foundation has linked up with World Expeditions to bring you four amazing and life changing charity challenges that will test you physically, emotionally and of course, support the search for cancer cures.
We’ve got 3 trekking charity challenges and one cycling charity challenge located across the globe, with our first option located a little more close to home.
The ACRF’s first charity challenge is the famous Larapinta Trail located in the beautiful Australian Northern Territory.
During this guided walk along Australia’s most iconic desert trek you will stay at comfortable semi-permanent campsites, and experience first-hand one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world, whilst helping raise funds for cancer research in Australia.
Or why not trek the Great Wall of China? On this exclusive charity challenge you will experience the beautiful in Hebei Province. Hosted by local families, you will camp in comfort in remote locations and explore the Great Wall over seven days, trekking between villages.
For those looking for a bigger challenge we’ve also chosen the Mt Everest Basecamp trek where you will follow established trails in the Sagamartha National Park to view many of the world’s highest mountains including the summit of Everest that peers above the 8000m peaks of Lhotse and Nuptse!
And for those avid cyclists, we’ve chosen the beautiful Tiger Leaping Gorge charity challenge in China! On this challenge you will find yourself cycling on back-roads across the snow-capped peaks of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the incredible Tiger Leaping Gorge!
An amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience for those who want to mix their passion for cycling, travelling and supporting cancer research!
To make the most of your charity challenge, the ACRF has set a very achievable fundraising target of $2,500 for each challenge and we can provide one-to-one fundraising support along the way.
