Professor Ian Brown FTSE
Chief Executive Officer
As an adjunct professor at Flinders University in Adelaide and former CEO of publicly listed Clover corporation, Dr Brown brings considerable experience with him to head up our small but highly professional team. He works very closely with the Board of Trustees and the ACRF’s distinguished scientific advisory committee, which advises us on the best cancer research in Australia. Dr Brown is passionate about building on our crucial role in funding scientific breakthroughs of the future in this important journey towards outsmarting cancer.
Chief Operating Officer
Kerry leads the team and ongoing activities of the foundation; working together as “a small team with a significant impact”. Focused on delivering efficient and effective business operations, Kerry is dedicated to growing the foundation to maximise the funding of technology for the best cancer research in Australia. Kerry is a Chartered Accountant with experience over some 25 years in varied commercial leadership roles across Pharmaceuticals, FMCG and professional services.
Cheryl is the executive team’s right hand and the ‘ringmaster’ of the office. She coordinates all aspects of the grant application process, bequest administration, and goes out of her way to keep the office humming and happy. Cheryl enjoys a holistic view of the ACRF; from the humbling supporter stories and events, to the world-class standard of grant applications, and finally to the outcomes being achieved in cancer research in Australia. Cheryl loves that the ACRF is making a real difference and she is proud to be part of the ACRF family.
Siddique is the ACRF numbers man, overseeing all of the ACRF accounts. Reporting to our CEO and Database Manager Siddique is responsible for donation income, grant payments and fundraising expenses. He works across accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, regular giving processing, end of month processing and investment book keeping.
Community Engagement Administration Assistant
Kamille Odilao is responsible for a range of administrative activities that support the Community Engagement team at the ACRF. She works across various fundraising programs including In Memoriam, Third Party Fundraising, Corporate Fundraising and Workplace Giving.

Philanthropy & Engagement Manager
Victoria brings plenty of knowledge and expertise to team ACRF. With a background in sales and marketing and over 15 years of experience working in Australian charities, she knows how to leave a lasting, positive impact on Australian communities. Victoria’s aptitude for relationship management helps individuals, trusts and foundations find a suitable fit for their donations, in turn helping the cancer research community to save lives by saving time!
Corporate Fundraising Campaigns Coordinator
Priscilla is committed to building and maintaining strong corporate partnerships. She is responsible for the management of ACRF’s portfolio of existing partners and actively looking for new companies to work with through workplace giving, corporate matching, fundraising events and team building opportunities.
Planned Giving Manager
Lee manages the ACRF’s Planned Giving area which provides support and guidance to those who are considering including a gift in their Will to the ACRF. A highlight of Lee’s work is meeting and interacting with ACRF supporters (new and long-term). Lee does presentations to Senior Groups, meets with supporters one-on-one and enjoys spreading the message of the vital impact that bequests can have in speeding up new treatments and cures for cancer.
Planned Giving and Database Coordinator
Michael assists Lee in the Planned Giving team, working closely with our supporters through ACRF’s many events, exhibitions and laboratory tours. Michael is all about efficiency and getting organised. Michael is process driven and great with data and reporting! He is passionate about supporting people who help others and finding out how their generous donations can help our cause.
Direct Giving & Database Manager
Deborah manages the ACRF’s fundraising appeals and our database. She loves nothing more than developing appeal campaigns that inspire and motivate existing and new supporters. The beauty of Deborah’s role is that it brings out the best in both sides of her personality: her social side enjoys communicating with our loyal and regular supporters, whilst her ‘geeky’ side loves poring over data and numbers in our database, Salesforce.
Direct Giving & Database Assistant
Katherine works for the Direct Giving & Database Team – processing donations and assisting ACRF supporters. She also helps the appeals team with seasonal mail outs. Her role in research communications allows the ACRF to deliver the latest research news. Katherine is inspired by each and every ACRF supporter and is passionate about working with data, sharing news on medical breakthroughs and fundraising to help end all cancers.
Renee works for the Direct Giving & Database team - assisting the Direct giving program with processing of donations, communicating with our regular givers and providing administrative support to the Direct Giving and Database Manager. Renee enjoys working with data and research and is driven by the generosity of our loyal supporters.
Marketing & Communications Manager
Michaela is a creative digital marketer and manages ACRF’s Marketing and Communications team. She is passionate about placing our supporter experience at the heart of everything we do. Michaela is also the main contact for our growing network of grant recipients and collaborative research partners.
Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Amelia is focussed on enhancing supporter’s experience and journey with ACRF through online and offline marketing strategies. She is a geek at heart and passionate about data and analytics. Working with the Marketing and Communications team, Amelia enjoys developing and implementing strategies to optimise output.
Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Tarryn works within the marketing and communications team to create, develop and implement strategies and tactics across social media and press that will help ACRF achieve their overall objectives. Tarryn is determined to see the end of all cancers in her lifetime and uses that determination as a driving factor every day.
