For research in to Microarrayresources. The Australian Genome Research Facility (AGRF) was a joint venture between the University of Queensland and the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research (Melbourne, Victoria} which aimed to provide resources for genetic research by Australian organisations and industry. The ACRF Grant was used for the following purposes:
  • The purchase of DNA stocks to be managed and to be distributed by AGRF to cancer research centres for arraying on established or planned equipment.
  • The purchase by AGRF of hardware, including a robotic arrayer to facilitate production of arrays at AGRF, a network server, refrigeration equipment and bioinformatics software.
  • The direct distribution of DNA Arrays by AGRF at unit cost recovery to regional nodes and to cancer researchers not associated with regional nodes.
