The Children’s Cancer Centre at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) and Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne undertook a major capital works program that will ultimately consolidate, expand and integrate laboratory, public health and clinical cancer research together with patient cancer treatment facilities.
The overall capital works program for the entire new Children’s Cancer Centre consisted of a $20 million project that will build this new comprehensive cancer centre for children. The grant from the Australian Cancer Research Foundation enabled the fit-out of the new Children’s Cancer Centre Research Laboratories within this project.
