A survivor of uterine cancer, local Geelong identity Phillipa Challis OAM wanted to give back to the community. Working with the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, the “Geelong Region Cancerians” was founded with a dedicated team of volunteers at the beginning of 2018.
Phillipa’s vision, which has been adopted by the committee under Chair Helene Bender OAM, is to raise awareness of uterine cancer and raise funds for research into uterine and all other cancers.
