World No Tobacco Day Posted on May 29, 2014February 25, 2018 by Carly du Toit Every 31st of May, The World Health Organisation (WHO) marks World No Tobacco Day, to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use, and advocate for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption. Tobacco kills nearly six million people each year, of which more than 600 000 are non-smokers succumbing to second-hand smoke.
