Cancerians Committees

Cancerians Committees organise events in their local communities and provide support to help fund cancer research. In just the past 10 years, the total contribution from Cancerians has been over $2.4 million. From gala balls to wine tasting, mother’s day luncheons to Jazz at Parliament House, our volunteer Committees are always devising imaginative ways to make fundraising a fun social activity!

A new Cancerians Committee is starting up in Adelaide and our Ballina-Byron Bay support group – Lifesavers for Cancer Research – host an annual fundraising ball in October each year.

Highlights

Cancerians Committees have been hard at work over the years, drawing on a wide variety of fundraising activities to assist in the search for a cure. Some of their event highlights included a gourmet barbecue and jazz event at an historical homestead, Annual Gala Ball , Mother’s Day Luncheon, Games Day – bridge, solo and other card games, Full Moon Mud Crab feast, and the famous not-to-be-missed Canberra event – the annual Black & White Ball.
