Donations in place of Birthday Presents, Wedding, Anniversary and Engagement Gifts.

An increasingly popular trend has been to donate to cancer research in lieu of birthday presents, wedding gifts, or anniversary gifts. In fact, this type of donation is limited only by your imagination!

If you are getting married, or celebrating a birthday or anniversary, and would like to encourage donations to the ACRF in lieu of gifts, we suggest you insert the following phrase into your invitations:

‘In lieu of gifts, we would appreciate contributions to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, GPO Box 9989 (in your capital city).

For further information please call 1300 884 988, or email Natasha at nmunasinghe@acrf.com.au    If you choose to give a donation in lieu of any of these ways, you will receive a receipt from the ACRF. The person or family on whose behalf you have made your donation in lieu will be sent a separate notification letter by the ACRF (without the amount of the gift) to let them know that a contribution was made by you to the ACRF in honour of their wedding or their birthday or anniversary.

Donations in Lieu of Flowers

Many people ask their friends and families to donate to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF), rather than sending flowers to funerals and memorial services in memory of loved ones who have passed on.
