Our volunteers
Glenys Boettcher has been an ACRF volunteer for ten years. She lends a hand in the Foundation office, distributing our receipts and condolence letters, stamping our in-memoriam envelopes and helping in whatever way we need.
A cancer survivor, Glenys chose to volunteer in order to help raise money for cancer research.
She says her greatest job satisfaction is working with wonderful people. Away from work, she loves her family, the Sydney Swans, friends, eating out and the Philips Retired People Association. And if Glenys had just one wish, it would be for good health for her family.
Lynn Moffitt started working as a Foundation volunteer in August 1995. She assisted with sending out receipt and condolence letters, assembling information packs and supported staff with their daily duties. The decision to volunteer at the ACRF was a personal one for Lynn.
Her sister and several close friends had died from cancer, and this was her way of contributing to a cure. By offering her time at no cost, Lynn enabled the Foundation to channel more funds direct into vital research.
Since moving north, Lynn can no longer volunteer her time in the office, however Lynn’s support hasn’t wavered and her wish is to contribute even more by raising funds for cancer research and donating the proceeds to the ACRF. Outside of the ACRF, Lynn enjoys organising functions for Probus Club outings, playing tennis, working on her family tree, travelling, and taking educational courses.
