Project Description: This is the third grant which ACRF has made over the years to this institute. The quality of the science being undertaken by the three principal investigators was considered by ACRF’s scientific advisory committee to be excellent. Their work includes rational drug design, drug target identification in haematological malignancy, and research into the most common type of bone tumour called osteosarcoma.

The institute has a wonderful international reputation in structural biology and cancer research collaborations, and the chief investigator has worked extensively across Australia in rational drug design, particularly for cancer.

This grant will enable to purchase of state-of-the-art equipment to significantly assist with their testing and analysis of new treatments for these cancers.
